1. Seller identity (imprint)
The website thepraetorian.press and the brand “The Praetorian” are operated by:
- Jo Suttels, operating under the trading name assista.plus
- Registered address: Lijsterhof 38, 3300 Tienen, Belgium
- VAT number: BE 1008196620
- Contact: hello@thepraetorian.press

2. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or Belgium, mandatory consumer protection laws apply in addition to these Terms where they give you stronger rights.
3. Description of Services
We provide:
- Free article excerpts and a limited number of full articles per month (the “metered” tier)
- Paid subscriptions granting unlimited access to analysis, briefings, and subscriber-only content
- Free and subscriber-edition email newsletters
4. Account and email subscription
When you provide your email address, you confirm that the address is yours and, where required, that you consent to processing as described in our Privacy Policy. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in our emails. We are not responsible for messages filtered to spam by your provider.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in EUR unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes (including EU VAT) are calculated and collected by Stripe according to your location. Your tax invoice is issued by Stripe and includes our business and VAT details.
Subscriptions: Recurring memberships are billed per the plan shown at checkout (monthly or yearly). You may cancel at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account area; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.
6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For subscriptions to digital content where access begins immediately, that right may cease once performance has started with your express consent, as permitted by applicable law (e.g. Directive 2011/83/EU).
This section does not limit other mandatory rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Statutory rights: Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer rights.
Subscriptions: You may cancel anytime via the Stripe Customer Portal. No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law; cancel before the next billing date to avoid further charges.
§ 7 — Consulting services (coaching)
The coaching products on /coaching are consulting services, not digital content. Belgian consumer law (CDE Art. VI.47) gives EU consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts; that right lapses, under Art. VI.53, 12°, once the service has begun being delivered with the consumer’s express consent.
By ticking the consulting-services consent checkbox at checkout, you confirm:
I request that the consulting service begin within the 14-day withdrawal period and acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the session has been delivered. The Praetorian’s coaching refund policy applies (full refund up to 7 days before the scheduled session; case-by-case after).
Refund policy. A full refund is available up to 7 days before the scheduled session. Within 7 days of the session, refunds are handled case-by-case — typically a reschedule rather than a cash refund. Once the session has begun, no refund is owed. To request a refund, email hello@thepraetorian.press with your Stripe order reference.
Outcomes. Coaching outcomes are advisory. We do not contractually guarantee specific results, decisions, or business outcomes. The deliverables of a session are: (a) the live working call(s) themselves; (b) a written one-page takeaway emailed within 48 hours of the final session in the format. Sessions are not recorded or transcribed unless explicitly agreed in writing.
